Hi I'm Elizabeth

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. My husband and I enjoy spending our summers or any weekend that we have in the northwest that's not rainy hiking, camping, playing disc golf, going to drive in movies and taking road trips.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because living the way that the church and ultimately the way the Lord teaches makes me happy. I am grateful for not having to worry about the pain, financial hardships or emotional hardships that addictions can bring from other lifestyle choices. After spending parts of my life living in ways other than the Lord has commanded, I am amazed by the difference that the gospel can make in your life. Living the Lord's way brings a sense of satisfaction, joy, peace and fulfillment where there once was emptiness, loneliness, feelings of inadequacy. It never ceases to amaze me how I can feel peace, warmth and reassurance that the gospel is true through listening to testimonies of the prophet, apostles, and even other members of the church or by picking up the book of mormon or other scriptures from the church. I know that the church is true because by living it I am happier than I could have ever imagined that I would be when I wasn't living it and also because when I learn, study and then pray about its teachings I feel a peace and reassurance that what I'm learning is true!

How I live my faith

I live my faith each day as I go to work serving other sons and daughters of my Heavenly Father by bringing peace to the weary and joy to the afflicted, trying to make there lives a little more comfortable each day, by trying to uplift their day and put a smile on their face as a social worker at a nursing home. On Sundays I have the opportunity to serve more sons and daughters of my heavenly father as I care for the 1 1/2 - 3 years old children in my church congregation (ward) making sure these precious children are safe and teaching them in simplicity the way that the Lord has designed to make them happy throughout their life on the earth.
