Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in southern Idaho. Served a mission in the Philippines. My wife and I have 4 kids. A step son and 3 girls. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My wife and I have 4 kids. 1 boy and 3 girls. I enjoy riding my motorcycle through all of the curvy canyon roads in Utah. I also enjoy outdoor activities with the boy scouts like camping and hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was taught the principles of the church in my youth and as I have tried to abide by these principles I have felt the influence of our Heavenly Father in my life and it has helped me and my family find joy in this life. We have a loving Heavenly Father that wants us to experience the happiness, peace and joy in its fullness. He has restored his gospel in our day to give us a moral code to live by and opportunities to serve others, but more importantly His church gives us access to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Through following the principles and ordinances (sacred ceremonies) of the gospel we can receive forgiveness of our sins and feel the peace of our Heavenly Father in our lives. I am thankful for this knowledge and the peace it has given me in my life.

How I live my faith

I try to live the first 2 commandments spoken of in the new testament. That is, to love the Lord and my fellow man. My wife and I have organized block parties in our neighborhood to help all of our neighbors of all faiths to get to know each other. My wife does a better job than me at reaching out to others. I remember one Sunday we had 2 different neighbors with birthdays on the same day. Neither of them had any special plans to celebrate so my wife made a couple of cakes and we spend the afternoon celebrating birthdays with our neighbors. I volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America on a National Youth Leadership Training course. It gives me an opportunity to help boys learn leadership and how to run and win the race of life.
