Hi I'm Kel

I'm a wife, a mother of 3 crazy kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife of a law enforcement officer and a full time mom of three very active kids. I love to blog, play games, cook, camp, watch kids play soccer, be crafty and creative and just be with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised in the gospel by wonderful parents who taught me right from wrong, although I came to a point in my life when I was 15 that I needed to know for myself if the gospel was true. This came at a time when a friend passed away and I was suddenly answering questions for my other friends who had no religious beliefs. One friend in particular had no idea where we go when we die or why we are here. I shared with him the things that I thought were true. I then went on a search for myself through the scriptures, through personal prayers and pleading with my Heavenly Father to help me know for myself if these things were true. It was an experience which I shall never forget. Through this journey I received the most wonderful feeling of peace and love from my Savior. I was given the reassurance that these things that I have been taught are real and true. That was almost 20 years ago and I now have a family of my own. While raising my family I have taught my children the things that I know to be true. I know that I don't want to end my relationship with my husband and children when this life is over and because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through the blessings of the Temple- I know that my family can be together for eternity. Although I am not perfect, I know that my Savior has provided a way to make this possible. For these reasons- I am a Mormon and I am eternally grateful!

How I live my faith

I love serving in the gospel. I am happiest when I'm serving others. I have been given countless opportunities to help teach the youth and the children about our Savior and his church. I love bringing meals to families who are in need. I have participated in service projects around the area to help beautify a park or nearby school. In the Book of Mormon, in Mosiah the scripture says And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God. Serving others around me is an amazing opportunity to serve my Father in Heaven.
