Hi I'm Britt

I am a wife and a mother living in New England. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

If motherhood didn't require so much commitment, time, and energy, I would divert some of it to the book world. I love books. In fact, I graduated from college to become a professional book reader--they call them editors. During the time that I was dreaming of how to become a best-selling author's best friend, I had my heart stolen by a charming man who asked me to marry him. Together, we raise a young family, and with them, I feel assured that I'm living my true dream. His profession requires him to be away from home for many days and nights, so I often play the role of single parent. Despite all of its challenges, I feel grateful, blessed, and honored to be a full-time mother.

Why I am a Mormon

Five things... 1. I love the Savior. 2. The Book of Mormon--Another Testament of Jesus Christ. 3. The temple. 4. My most important questions have been answered. 5. Matthew chapter 7 verse 20, "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."

How I live my faith

Like many other members of the Church, I do the best I can. Living my faith is not just for Sunday-- it is for each day of the week. While I know that all of my blessings come from a loving and merciful Father in Heaven, I have learned that I am in charge of my happiness and self-assurance--and that comes from living according to the principles of my faith. My life and purpose is defined by my relationship with God, my husband, and my family. Everything outside of that is just a bonus.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

There is no possible way to describe in 1500 words what the Atonement is and why it was so necessary. If the 'what' and the 'why' could be explained in one word, it would be--love. What is the Atonement? The love of God. Why was it necessary? Because of God's love. It may seem a too simple answer for such a complex question, but as I have studied about the life, death, and resurrection of Christ, I have learned that the transcending theme of the scriptures teaches about a pure love that only God can provide. "Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going?" They have been all been explained to me by the gift of love that is called the Atonement. Show more Show less
