Hi I'm Jenny

Family, music, learning, and advocacy are my passions. The Gospel is my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from university and cannot wait to see where my life takes me and what the future has in store for me. I have a great passion for working with people and am interested in public policy, law and advocating for families, women and children. Music has always been a great part of my life, and therefore has turned into be a great part of who I am. I love to sing any chance I can, play the piano and surround myself with uplifting music. I believe that music has such a great power that can heal all pains, bring joy, and effect us in a way that no other thing can - I love to be a part of that power in any way that I can. Ultimately, the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is what makes me, me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family whose members were already LDS, or Mormons, so attending church every Sunday was routine. I felt I always believed it was true, but I have gained a stronger knowledge and testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for myself over the years. I am a Mormon because the world around me is constantly inconsistent, but the Gospel is something that remains true and strong and never changes; I have something to rely on. One of the beliefs that we have as Mormons is that God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, which means that revelation can still be received. It is such a blessing to know that we have a loving God who wants to speak with us. I am a Mormon because the Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is full of joy, hope, change and service.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving. Whether it is in my personal life with my family, with friends and acquaintances, co-workers or those I worship with at Church on a weekly basis, I try to find ways to serve. Jesus Christ is the best example of one who could have claimed that He deserved service from others, but instead He freely gave of His time, love and ultimately, His life. I strive to be like Him. I live my faith by discovering and improving the talents I have been given. What motivates me is the knowledge I have that these gifts have been given to me from God, my Heavenly Father, and that He will use me as an instrument to bless His other children through my abilities and what I have learned. I live my faith by expressing gratitude often. Being grateful helps me to more clearly and constantly see that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are mindful of me, that they love me and that they care about what happens and is happening in my life.
