Hi I'm Caitlin

I'm an artist, wife to a lead guitarist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an artist and lover of all things creative. I spend most of my time with my husband in our garage studio painting while he plays music. We have a little dog named Albus and we're always up for a good laugh. I was lucky enough to marry my best friend a couple of years ago and we have helped each other aspire to our dreams ever since that day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it gives me purpose. I went through the typical teenage "who am I!??" phase, and I came out of it knowing that I am a child of God and I have a purpose. I finally found true joy and I never looked back! Knowing God's plan gives me peace and happiness each day, it gives me confidence, it gives me hope. I am so very grateful to be a member of this church, it has inspired me to become a good woman and try to be the best that I can be.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by service and example. My dad taught me that happy people are people that serve. I've worked at religious youth camps, and currently serve the young women in my ward. I find joy in helping these kids find themselves, find happiness, and find faith. I always try to show my faith by example by being kind, charitable, uplifting, etc. It is hard! But I hope people know that I am a woman of faith my my example.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?

Caitlin
For some people this may seem like a totally radical idea, for others it just makes sense. I have an interesting perspective about this because of my work and my husbands work. With art and music, not only are substances are used but they are depended upon for the creative process. A lot of people would say it would be impossible for us to create an amazing drug-free painting or wild guitar solo! The creative process is something that every artist enjoys, and I like to feel completely in control of that process. I never look down on any of these behaviors, but I like to recognize that great things can happen when creating in complete consciousness. I'd like to think being free of any addictions and living a healthy lifestyle makes people stronger and more able to use their brilliant minds to their fullest creative capacity. By the way, you really should hear that guitar solo...  Show more Show less
