Hi I'm Ian

I grew up in Canada. I'm a dreamer and a daydreamer. Yes I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm from Canada and I have a family. I have an older Sister and Brother who are my greatest examples. Both my Mom and my Dad are converts and I love my Family very much. We are not normal or perfect by any means. The struggles we have are in no short supply. I have seen adversity but I know how to handle lifes struggles. I was never one to have any big gigantic dreams. I never really had a sense of direction in my life other then what was expected Church, School, mission etc. I still don't know what to do with my life. However Maybe I really am a big dreamer cause I maybe don't know where I want to go in life but I certainly know where I want to go after. Things I like to do are rock climbing, downhill longboarding, and ukulele playing

Why I am a Mormon

To start I want to make sure you (the reader) know that I am in no way perfect. I make so many mistakes and that weighs me same as everyone. The only way I cope is relying on my beliefs and always trying to improve. It is wonderful to know the Doctrine of Christ in your head but it is a life time project to apply it to your life. I smile a lot and what makes me smile the most is a belief in Christ. Growing up it felt like in school that belief put an odd focus on me. That was evident in being called the "Mormon kid" my high school life. However I didn't mind. It was a great conversation starter. Why I'm a Mormon is simple. It's that I know God loves us and reveals truth and revelation through Prophets. The purpose of Prophets is to tell us Jesus was real! We read about him in the Bible and Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is just to let us know that we have a Prophet today just like way back when in the old days. Anyone who wants to can have the same beliefs as me. Learn and pray for yourself. No one has ever forced me to believe this is all on my own. It honestly brings me so much happiness. This also gives me a sense of belonging even if i was alone. Where else could you find this kind of joy? It's all true I hope you can understand. I'm not perfect but I do know the process that will help me to be... It's through Christ

How I live my faith

Faith is what I have at my core and what I want to retain forever. Essentially it is what I am inside. My Faith is me and I pray that is what others see. I live my Faith by doing exactly what is expected of me by Christ. Not just the easy things but the tough ones to. However I fall down a lot and am very imperfect. I also live it by doing my best to help others do the same.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
