Hi I'm Halee

I'm an electrical engineer in California and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 31 year old single woman who loves meeting new people and trying new things. I'm passionate about gardening, volleyball, and reading. I also like to cook, bake, & sew when I have time. I'm currently working as an electrical engineer for a small CMOS Image Sensor company in Southern California.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormons and I grew up in the church. When I was a youth I reached a point where I really wanted to know for myself if everything I had been taught was true. I prayed about the Book of Mormon, asking God if it was true, and I felt so warm and peaceful all over that I knew it was my answer. Since then there have been many times where I have questioned my faith or wondered about specific doctrines, and always I have been able to go to my Father in Heaven in prayer and ask for His guidance. Sometimes I have to continue in faith for long periods of time before receiving my answer. Other times the answer comes immediately in the feeling of peace and warmth that comes over me. It's like a heavenly hug. If there's anything I know for sure, without any doubt, it is that God lives. There is a God in Heaven and He loves us! Everything else in my life is based on that assurance. God has always answered my prayers in the past and I rely on this knowledge to be assured that He will answer my prayers in the future. Knowing that I am a daughter of God, who loves me, is one of the most significant, wonderful blessings in my life. You, too, are a child of God, and He knows you and He loves you. Pray to Him and ask if He's there, tell Him your questions and concerns and doubts and fears, and hopes and dreams, and He will respond. He will comfort you and He will guide you. This I know.

How I live my faith

In my ward (congregation) I have just been asked to serve as the adviser to the 12 & 13 year old girls. I'll teach lessons in class on Sunday and help out with weekly activities on Wednesdays. During the weekly activities (referred to as Mutual), the girls get together to learn a new skill, play games, participate in humanitarian and community service projects, and other fun activities.
