Hi I'm Jill

I grew up in the Bible belt. I'm a singer. I'm a daughter, sister, aunt, and soon to be wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Georgia and am now living in Utah. I'm a student studying Latin American Studies and the Spanish language. Music is one of my greatest passions. I play the piano and the trumpet but I love singing. I've been blessed with the opportunity to share my testimony through my music in the United States as well as the British Isles. I'm getting married in two months and I absolutely can not wait for that part of my life to begin!

Why I am a Mormon

The fact that I am Mormon is the single most defining aspect of my life. It affects everything I do, say, wear, how I act, and I love it! This gospel is so pure. Nothing in this world makes me happier. The times that I am truly happiest are when I am emulating my Savior and living my life the way that I know He would have me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by acting as my Heavenly Father would have me to. No matter where I go I am acting as a witness of my Heavenly Father and I would never want to do anything that would shame His name. As you get baptized and take upon His holy name you promise to do everything you can to glorify Him and bring others unto Him.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Jill
The temples are literally the House of God upon this earth. They are holy and sacred and deserve respect. In order to go into them you need to be living your life in accordance to the commandments that God has set forth. As you grow older and you mature and develop a deeper faith in the gospel you are given the opportunity to participate in sacred covenants performed in the temple. The reason they are not spoken about is because they are so sacred and so holy that we don't want to taint them or have people talk about them in an inappropriate manner. In the temple we make covenants with our Heavenly Father to become like Him and be examples of our faith. We promise to do our best to become like Him. We also learn about our lives, how much our Heavenly Father loves us, and given the tools to help us stay on the path towards return to our Heavenly Father and living with Him for eternity. One of the greatest and most essential covenants you can make in the temple is to be married, not only for time, but for eternity. As I am preparing to be married I will soon have the opportunity to make these covenants with my Heavenly Father as well as my spouse. I am so excited. Nothing brings me joy even close to the joy that i receive from living this Gospel.   Show more Show less
