Hi I'm Jessica

I'm a mom, model and Mormon.

About Me

My family consists of my hubby of 6 years, our sweet baby girl and our vizsla Timp. I love running and have ran two marathons. I also enjoy playing soccer, wake boarding, skiing, dancing, cliff jumping, hiking and bungee jumping. If the activity is physical and extreme, you can bet I am into it or would love to try it. Aside from being a stay-at-home mom, I also do sports and lifestyle modeling, which I love!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, because it makes me happy. This church has provided me with the tools I need to know how to have peace, overcome trials, be a good person, receive guidance and most importantly reach my fullest potential. At the end of my freshman year of high school, two young men (the wonderful missionaries) knocked on my door and said they had a message to share. The message was about hope, healing and the love Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father have for all their children. I hadn't been taught that before. As I continued meeting with the missionaries, the things I was learning made sense. The more I learned and the more I studied the Book of Mormon, the more I felt like I was doing the right thing. I wanted to be a better person. I wanted to be close to Heavenly Father, and I knew this was the right path. Life is a crazy journey, and I am so thankful to have this gospel as my foundation. I know Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know love me and that they are real. Because Jesus Christ gave his life for me and you, we can receive forgiveness, we can move forward and be happy. This gospel means everything to me. It makes me truly happy.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by the things I say and do each day. Each Sunday I look forward to going to church and leave feeling renewed and strengthened. I am camp director for the young women in our ward. Camp is for girls 12-18. They spend a week away from home experiencing nature, learning first aide techniques, having fun, being crazy and most importantly strengthening their relationship with their Heavenly Father. The whole experience is a blast every year! I also visit teach three great women, women who are all different from each other and myself in some ways, but women I have grown to love by becoming their friend. Yep, the church is pretty sweet.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

There are a lot of people out there that don't have all the answers to life's questions. For example, when I was 14 I had a lot of questions, questions like: "Where do I go when I die? Will something bad happen to me in the afterlife if I do bad things, like steal? Is being gay wrong, why if so?" I just had a bunch of random questions. When I started meeting the missionaries, they were able to answer these questions with supporting facts and references from the scriptures. The more I learned, the more complete or whole I felt. The more life made sense. And the more I learned, the more I felt I truly had purpose, that I was worth something great. That is why I think the church has grown so tremendously fast over the years, because the gospel teachings answer all of life's most important questions and makes people feel fulfilled.
