Hi I'm A. M. Graves

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Salt Lake City in an active LDS family. At the age of 19 my family moved to Denver, Colorado while I was attending Brigham Young University. I had never lived out of Utah, so I chose to take a leave from college to move to Denver. What a great experience. I loved it! I worked there for the rest of that year and then went back to BYU in the Fall. While in Denver I met the love of my life. We both attended another year at BYU and then married in the Salt Lake City Temple. We live in Colorado now!! We have raised four children here, three of which have attended BYU and have married in the temple. Our fourth will be attending BYU this Fall. I love to ski--water and snow, travel, bike, hike, read, sew and I love the mountains here in Colorado! We are an busy, active family. We spend a lot of time playing and doing the things we love. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a big part of our lives. I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because I was born into a long line of Mormons but because I CHOSE to be a Mormon. I made a conscious decision to obey the teachings and doctrines of the gospel when I was a teenager. Being obedient makes me happy. Loving the Lord Jesus Christ and serving is His church is right for me. It makes my life easier and more full.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being obedient to the teachings of the prophets and apostles both from the days of old, the Bible's teachings and also from today's modern prophets. I am not perfect, I keep trying. That is why I am so grateful for the Atonement of Christ. He makes it possible for me to repent and be cleansed. I love to share my beliefs with others and do so at every opportunity. I serve in my community and with the women in my church. I teach, plan and help organize activities that will hopefully strengthen the faith and unity of the women in my church. I love the women and I pray for them daily that they too will feel the eternal, abundant love that our Heavenly Father has for them.
