Hi I'm Cynthia.

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I'm quite a shy person who loves having alone-time, just reading a good book, usually junior novels and classics, watching movies, usually historical fiction or family movies, or watching videos on byutv.org. I can just see myself when I'm really old being surrounded by books, cats, and music! I have a strong desire to see others happy, and to share with them the good things of this life. Because of this desire, I enjoy doing service for others, and helping others out. I feel the most comfortable, happiest, self-confident, and peaceful when I am doing something nice for someone else. I have been married for two years to my best friend, the most handsome man on earth, for time and all eternity, in one of the temples of our church, and we now have a gorgeous 2-month-old daughter who will be part of our family forever! I love to laugh and joke around, when it is appropriate, because doing so eases tention and brings a smile to the faces of those who are sharing in my laughter. So, smile! Be happy! Trust me, it's such a stress reliever!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family of devoted Latter-Day Saints and chose to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was 8 years old. I have been a faithful member of this church throughout my life. I can't explain it, but, whatever I am taught about the gospel of Jesus Christ I believe right away, no questions asked. I just know that what I am being taught is true. I feel really good about it, peace enters my heart, I feel warm. Sometimes, the feeling is so strong that it brings tears to my eyes, and I cannot deny, I can never deny, that this church, and this lifestyle, is truly from God.

How I live my faith

Every day I strive to keep the commandments. I show my commitment to my church and my God by dressing modestly, using clean language, and being kind to those I come in contact with. I believe that God still gives personal revelation. I know He does because He has directed me and guided me in my life.  I am a Primary teacher to 8 to 11 year old girls in the church. Every week we have a lesson about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I help these girls learn how to live in this world while holding fast to the teachings of Jesus. I love serving these girls and helping them out. Watching their faith in the Lord grow increases my faith and reconfirms to me of the truthfulness of the gospel and the happiness and peace it brings into my life.
