Hi I'm Mike

And I'm happy to be a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 23 years old and a General Manager at a restaurant in Boulder, Colorado. I was married in the Denver Temple in January 2011 to my sweetheart, Kristy. I love movies, music and not being too artsy about it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I want to be happy. I grew up as a member of the church but never really found out if it was true by myself. When I went away to college I chose another path that lead to personal, legal and family troubles. I was tired of being sad, lonely and feeling hopeless so I found a local church and began attending. Since than I've covenanted with my Heavenly Father that I would always go to Him, even when it was hard. I know He loves me and wants me to be happy. That's why He's given us a way to be happy. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I study my scriptures and pray daily with my wife. We discuss the gospel and try to understand more fully what our Heavenly Father's plan is for us. We also have callings in our local ward to be ward missionaries. That means we get to assist the missionaries in our area by visiting members, teaching lessons to people learning about the church and helping those in need.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I came to know the truth of the gospel by praying and studying about it. I didn't know it was true when I first came back to church. I thought it was good and let people be happy but I first needed to ask my Heavenly Father, with sincerity, if this was the true church. My prayer wasn't answered right away but when it was I can say that there would be no way to deny the feelings I had at that time. My Heavenly Father let me feel how much He loves me and that He has given us a way to be with Him again. Show more Show less
