Hi I'm Meri

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for forty years and we have five beautiful children. Between them we have been blessed with nine grandchildren. Life is good. I love to travel, to discover something new and did I mention the ocean? I appreciate fine food, a good book and a night out with friends. I enjoy gardening, oil painting and writing. I hope to one day travel to Pelhrimov, Czech Republic to see where my grandmother was born. I think there may be many family secrets to learn there as well as self discovery.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the faith of my ancestors. My great grandmother was the perfect example of faith and loyalty to the Lord. It was through her stories about the sacrifices that her parents made for the Gospel that first made me want to know more. Although I wanted to believe, it wasn't until I read The Book of Mormon and prayed about its' truthfulness that I received a witness. In time, I have changed that faith to near knowledge. I don't know what my life would be like without the meaning and direction that knowing what this life is all about, where I am going after death and the fact that my family can be together forever.

How I live my faith

The knowledge that I have that God lives is the fuel that keeps me going each day. Knowing the Plan of Salvation gives my life a richer dimension and makes life's trials easier because I know the Lord is there to share my burdens.
