Hi I'm Kathryn Cooper

I'm a YA Fiction Author. I'm the mom of 4 energetic boys. I've had brain tumor surgery, radiation, and chemo. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a born and raised Texan. I've attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since I was born. I took piano and voice lessons through high school and love music. I graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education back in 2006. I've been married to my Texan country boy since 2005. We were sealed in the beautiful Dallas, Texas Temple. We have 4 boys full of energy and love. I'm a teen fiction author. I love to create stories. In 2014 I had a seizure which sent me to get an MRI. We found out I had a brain tumor. I then went through surgery, 6 weeks of radiation, and 12 months of chemo. No matter how hard those days were I knew that my Savior Jesus Christ loved me. He was there for me through the pain and sadness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the teachings taught in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up going to church with my parents and 4 siblings. When I turned 8 years old I chose to be baptized. I knew, even at a young age, that Jesus Christ loves me and wants me to follow God's commandments so I can return to live with God my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ at the end of my mortal life.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I go to church with my husband and 4 young boys. Sometimes it's hard to get 4 little boys to church, but it's worth it. We're building strong habits and teaching them the importance of following God's commandments. Attending weekly church meetings make us a happier family.
