Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a Mormon from Kentucky.

About Me

My wife, Samantha, and I, have four children and we live in Kentucky. Our kids attend public schools, play soccer and other sports, are in scouts and other school activities. I grew up in Kentucky, but my father travelled to Germany twice with work, so we lived overseas about 6 years. I now teach elementary music at a public school and my wife stays at home with our two youngest children. We take family trips, love to swim and spend time outdoors, and we love visiting with grandparents and cousins.

Why I am a Mormon

I love our Savior Jesus Christ, and I hope to teach my children to feel that same love for Him. I love the church because it helps my family to know more about Jesus and be like him. After all, it is His church, and the only true church on the earth today. I know that's a bold statement, but it is true. The Lord has established His church, just as when he first ministered on the earth 2000 years ago. The fullness of His gospel allows us to be an eternal family, which makes my family very happy. Just as in Biblical times, today there is a living prophet on the earth who helps us know exactly what Heavenly Father wants for us in our time.

How I live my faith

We try to do our best to live the gospel daily. It's not easy, but we try to read out of the scriptures every night, and have a family prayer each evening. We attend church on sundays, and have weekly family night where we spend special time together. Like most families with young children (ours are 10, 8, 4, and 2), each day is a challenge and adventure! We don't get it all right, but we know the Savior helps us as we trust in him.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Aaron
This is Heavenly Father's plan for all of HIs children. He wants us to return to live with Him, with our families, forever. We know we can live together forever with our families because of Jesus Christ. He made this possible. Worthy members of the church can be sealed to their families for all eternity through a sacred ordinance performed in one of God's holy temples. My wife and I were sealed together for time and all eternity in the St. Louis Temple. That day we may a covenant with God, and our 4 children have been born under the same covenant. If we live our lives worthily, we'll be together in the eternities after this life. Show more Show less
