Hi I'm Anneliese

I love to shop. I've been skydiving. I lived in France. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love jet skiing and quad riding, and I also enjoy wake boarding and snow boarding. I love to travel all over the world.  I'm a young mom and wife, I adore my husband and kids, I'm a graduate student, I speak French, and I love being Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel so good when I pray and study about this church. No other feeling makes me happier. I feel that this church comes from God.

How I live my faith

I am excited every day to be the best I can be. I have many opportunities to work with youth in programs in the church and outside the church and I get to see the youth catch my enthusiasm for living a way that makes me happy. And they lift me with their experiences of courage and morals. I try to be the best example I can to my children, showing them that goodness brings happiness.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

The Mormon Church is probably the most widely misunderstood church in the world. The true title is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." To the general public, Mormons are different. They are taught to look for ways to help others, they are taught to be honest and have integrity no matter what. They love family, and tend to have more kids than the public average. They study both the Bible and The Book of Mormon. To add to the "mysteriousness" of the Church, strange fundamentalist groups that break away from Mormonism still try to affiliate the Mormon Church with their ideas. The truth is, The Mormon Church doesn't have a history like most churches, in that it certifiably claims to be the Church of Jesus Christ, restored to the earth just as the Savior said would happen. So, skeptics brand the Mormon Church as a cult, not taking the time to really understand one of the strongest systems of greatness known on the earth at this time. Anyone that really tries to study this church knows it is nothing like a cult. Mormons are constantly told by church leaders that each person needs to find out for themselves what is truth through study and prayer. Show more Show less
