Hi I'm Court

I love the outdoors, playing guitar, and anything to do with the water. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 21 years old and served my full time mission in the Tempe, Arizona mission. I love to spend as much time as I can on the water and outdoors. I'm studying business at BYU-Idaho and intend to continue in Marketing. I love playing guitar and writing music with my buddies. Impulsivity is the way that I've always lived my life. Luckily the mission has taught me how to prioritize things better and to have a plan that I can execute without getting completely distracted. My family is the best family in the world and I'm way glad I get to spend eternity with them.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well, it has been a long process for me to be converted in the church. I did in fact grow up in the church however, it took me a while to have the interest to gain a testimony of my own. I was able to really gain that testimony when I had one of my best friends ask to come to church. He went with me for a couple weeks and then asked to talk to the missionaries. I was a bit hesitant because I knew they could be pushy but followed his request. I participated in the lessons with my friend and was converted in the process. The teaching of these missionaries also helped me to start to come back to church and be active. I then had the opportunity to baptize him which helped me deiced to go on a mission of my own. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Christ's true church once again established on the earth. I know that our Heavenly Father does in fact love us. He know me personally and the trials that I go through. I know that Christ did die for all of us. Luckily I also know he did not just do that... Christ felt everything we feel. Every pain sickness, temptation and affliction for each one of us so he can stand by our side and say that we are forgiven for our sins. I know that he does guide his church through a modern living prophet named Thomas S. Monson. President Monson is an inspired man, that if we listen to him, will guide us to return to live with our Heavenly Father and our eternal family forever. I know that Joseph Smith did see what he saw and was called to be a prophet. How do I know all of this? Because I've asked my Heavenly Father. The amazing thing about this church is that no one in my experience has said "just trust it's true." We are constantly challenged to ask, to experiment it within ourselves. A testimony does not come easy.. It is something to work on and to hold dear to our hearts.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through the small and simple things. I constantly remind myself of the importance of the Gospel through prayer, studying and seeking answers through the scriptures, and attending church. Really, it all comes down to the small and simple things that help us to live and gain our faith. Consistency is key to living my faith. I've learned through serving a mission that the key for members, recent converts, and less-active members is to share the gospel. It's really not that tough to share something that has brought so much happy to so many lives. I myself live my Faith when I'm sharing it with others. I know this is what Christ wants and asks us to do.
