Hi I'm Brett

I love playing sports, I love music and playing the piano, I love my family, I grew up in Kaysville, UT and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to play basketball, a little golf and other sports. I love music and have played the piano for 13 years. I was also on drum line playing the snare drum in high school. I am the youngest out of four kids, but the only one still active in the church. The blessings are incredible as I have lived my faith, but sad to see my family members struggle from not living it. I attended college before my mission and loved it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the LDS church because it helps me to know that God has a plan for me. The feelings I get from attending church and living this faith are indescribable. The blessings I receive and the love I have developed with God make me so happy. I have asked our Heavenly Father and have found out for myself that this is the true church on earth, Christ's church once again restored on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the standards of the church. It can be very hard and it takes a lot of work, but it is worth the effort. As I am able to follow and live what I have been taught, I get a comforting feeling that I know what I am doing is right. I know that God, our Heavenly Father, loves me and appreciates my dilligence. Reading and studying the scriptures is very important in my life, especially from the Book of Mormon. It is evidence that this Gospel is true. As I've been able to read it, apply it in my life and pray about its truthfulness, the Holy Ghost confirms to me that it is true. Important questions to life are also answered in the Book of Mormon. I know that if each of us take take certain steps to know the Book of Mormon is true, we will all know it is.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Of course we believe the Bible to be the word of God. We use the King James Version. The Bible teaches us valuable information that we can learn from. It has the account of Jesus Christ, where else can we get that? The Bible explains what happened when Jesus Christ was here and other stories. For example, it tells us that Jesus Christ was baptized, or it tells us the story of Adam and Eve. It doesn't, however, explain really why this all happened. The Book of Mormon helps explain why this all happened, like why Christ had to be baptized and why Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit. Doctrine found in the Bible and Book of Mormon back each other up and are both a witness that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes we are Christians, I mean it is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We worship Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. Without Jesus Christ and the Atonement, we wouldn't be able to return to live with Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
