Hi I'm Cathy

Im a Mormon

About Me

I recently returned from serving a full time mission in Spain and am busily attending college and pursing a degree in nursing, which will fulfill my childhood dream. I have two sisters and two amazing parents who have helped me get where I am today. I love family cookouts, hiking, rafting, horseback riding, and just being in the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but there came a point in my life where I no longer wanted to just take my parents word that the church was true rather I wanted to know for myself. I began reading the scriptures and praying, asking my Heavenly Father if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was His true church once again restored upon the earth. If there is one thing I know it is that we have a loving Heavenly Father who hears and answers prayers, and I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church. If there is a life changing piece of advice that I could choose to give someone it would be to pray just as it directs in James chapter 1 verse 5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and ubraideth not and it shall be given him.” Prayer has changed my life and has served as a guiding light.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to pattern my life after Christ. He was the perfect example. I know I fall short in so many ways, but I I’m striving each day to reach out and serve those around me and to stand as a witness of God in all the things that I do and say. I love sharing the gospel with those around me and I hope that as I strive to pattern my life after Christ others can see Him through the example I try to set. I know that true peace and happiness in this life only comes when one is striving to put their life in harmony with the teachings of the Savior.
