Hi I'm Stacey Mayer

I'm a horse-crazy mom and artist from Seattle. I have a web site for my equine coloring book drawings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, a mother, and an artist in the Seattle area.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I wanted to know more about Jesus.

How I live my faith

As the ward chorister, I Iead the music for our congregation. My husband loves to serve the Scouting organization, and always enjoys teaching children or adults.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Stacey Mayer
The Book of Mormon is a companion to the scriptures you already know of as the Holy Bible. They are are a second witness to the coming of Jesus Christ, and help the Bible be more easily understood. It's more of the story of Christ's dealings with His children on earth. Show more Show less

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Stacey Mayer
My husband is my partner. We love to spend time together with our family. For our grown daughters, Dad's their anchor. Together, we teach our children that the love of our Father in heaven is eternal.   Show more Show less

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Stacey Mayer
Yes, I know there is a living prophet. Why wouldn't a loving Christ give His children guidance during the last days? I believe we each have the right to know if this is true for ourselves. I challenge you to read the book of Mormon, and find out that your prayers may be answered, too.  Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Stacey Mayer
Of course! We know Jesus came to earth to pay the price for our sins, and is the resurrected Christ. We believe He is the divine Son of God.  Show more Show less

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

Stacey Mayer
When I was sixteen and a half, a boating accident took the lives of both my parents, my younger sister, and little brother. I'd been left at home to go to my summer job, while my family went camping. Now they were gone. A year and a half later I was at college, and while everyone around me was enjoying dorm life, I was missing my family terribly. Especially my mother. While growing up, I'd heard my mother's testimony of the restored gospel, many times. She'd always responded to life's trials with cheerful faith, relying on Christ. She had no doubt it was true. Now, I needed to know the truth for myself. I'd learned as a child how to pray. So I knelt, and bowed my head with sincere intent. I pondered what I needed to know, and tearfully shared the desires of my heart with my Heavenly Father. Would I ever see my family again? I loved them so much. What did I need to do, in order to be with my family in heaven? A deep feeling of peace came upon me. I heard the Spirit of God say, "Keep the Commandments. Go to the Temple". I felt incredible joy God lives! My prayers were answered. My husband and I were married in the temple, and continue to go to the temple to prepare our families for the hereafter. God hears our prayers, and He has given us a plan to be with our families forever. It's true. Jesus is the Christ. Show more Show less
