Hi I'm Remona

I love Indian movies, Indian music and Indian food! I was born in Trinidad, grew up in Florida and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing but I'm pretty sure my husband and I are the only ones who think I'm any good! I love to travel and hope that I get to go to every destination on my list (yes I have a list!). I love to read and I've read everything by Jane Austen! I love educational programs, cartoons and 90's family sitcoms and I know one day life will find me working for animal rights. I am a college student, a wife and a mommy to the best doggie in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the LDS church when I was twelve years old. A few months before my father decided to let 2 young missionaries enter our home to speak with us. It was the best decision he ever made. I felt from the very moment like there was something special about the message they were telling us and wanted to learn more. Not to long after my family was baptized into the church. Throughout the years, I've learned many things about this gospel. The most important being that Christ lives and that he died so that I could have the opportunity to return to live with him and my Heavenly Father again. This I know is true.

How I live my faith

I love working with the youth. I've had the opportunity to teach them in Sunday School and I'm currently working with them as the early-morning Seminary teacher in our ward. Our class starts at 5:50 am before every school day and just I love seeing the youth's faces at that time in the morning! This takes great dedication and sacrifice on the part of the youth and I am ever proud of them for the committment they make to learn about Christ and his gospel everyday. One of my favorite things to do in my ward, is visit teach other sisters. A companion and myself meet with a couple sisters every month and share a message from our First Presidency. During this visit we are able to show love and kindness to our fellow sisters and most importantly we are able to serve them the best way we can. One way I live my faith is to have empathy for others around me. I try to think of what they might be going through and how I may be of help.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

A husband and a wife have the opportunity to be together forever. Through sacred ordinances performed in the temple, we can be sealed to our spouse and our families for time and all eternity. We believe that death is not the end. Christ died for us so that it wouldn't be so. Because of him we are able to be sealed to one another as an eternal family. Show more Show less
