Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and expecting my first child, a baby girl in August '11. I'm an avid baker and love to cook. I have a fur-baby, a Pit Bull Mix named Anubis. I love to decorate my home, watch movies and shop online.

Why I am a Mormon

I came to realize in my mid-twenties that I couldn't live this life without Heavenly Father's love or His forgiveness. I wasn't doing well on my own. I was rasied Mormon, however fell away from the church after I graduated high school. I started attending church regularly in 2010. I love the simplicity of the gospel and it's principles and teachings. I have the knowledge of my purpose on this earth and why I am here. I know where I am going when I die. These plain truths provide me with peace when pain and turmoil swirl around me. I believe in the divinity of the Savior Jesus Christ and only through Him can we be forgiven and return to live with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I serve as the secretary in the adult women's organization at our church. I also participate in a program called visiting teaching. Myself and my partner, another woman in our church go out and visit 2 or 3 sisters in the ward to see how they are doing and see how we can be of service to them. I have a great testimony in the power of visiting teaching. I have many friends I wouldn't have otherwise made if it weren't for this program. I have testimony of the basics of the gospel, namely daily prayer and scripture study. I know by doing these things imense peace and power come to my life. So many questions or fears I have had have been solved by fervent prayer or by opening my Book of Mormon or Bible.
