Hi I'm Brian Blatter

I am a husband, and the father of five. I enjoy triathlon. I work as an oral surgeon. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband, father of five active boys, oral surgeon, triathlete, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I find stability, answers, love, and true happiness in the gospel of Jesus Christ. My membership in the church has given me stability in my life. Faced with society’s changing values I wanted to know which I should embrace and which I should not for my family and myself. Modern prophets and ancient scripture including the Book of Mormon have provided a rudder to help me navigate my family through these changing times. I had questions about what love is. The gospel of Jesus Christ taught me how to more fully love. I had questions when my parents died. The Book of Mormon, Bible, and modern day prophets have helped me understand God’s plan for us. This plan has helped me understand the difficult questions in life, and it has given me a clear vision about how to live and to find true happiness. I am not immune from the trials and adversities of life, and the gospel of Jesus Christ, God’s plan for us, modern day prophets, and scripture including the Book of Mormon help me. I find joy in the gospel of Jesus Christ. It brings me happiness that I cannot find anywhere else. I have found by personal experience that my Father in Heaven wants me to be happy. And I find lasting happiness through living by the teachings of Jesus Christ and His prophets. I find that the church and its teachings draw me closer to my Heavenly Father. And as I do I find stability, answers, love, and lasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I currently fill the position of the bishop of our local congregation. It is a non paid opportunity to help those in need within the congregation and without. It provides opportunities to counsel one with another over their struggles in life. It is essential that I seek inspiration from my Heavenly Father so that I can say and do His will. I participate with the help of many in the congregation to help people with their financial, emotional, spiritual, and family needs. Taking part in these opportunities is a blessing in my life. I find that as I seek to bless the lives of others that I am blessed more greatly in return by the Lord. I also enjoy sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I find that out of all the gifts that I can offer to my fellow man the best gift is the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
