Hi I'm Kasey

I grew up in the Northwest of the United States. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 23 year old young single adult. I'm a recent member of the LDS church. I love life and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. Currently I work in retail but plan on going back to school to major in psychology. I love going out with my friends and watching movies and listening to music. I love to cook and bake delicious things. I also like to read and draw when I have the time to.

Why I am a Mormon

I know this church is true. The Holy Ghost has brought me to the understanding of this. At first I had a lot of mixed feelings about the church. I wasn't sure if it was true but I knew I felt the spirit when I went. My family was against me joining so it made it difficult to know if I was making the right choice. One of my teacher's told me in order to distinguish if my feelings were from the spirit or not was to realize if how I felt was in my mind or in my heart. At that moment I realized that in my heart I know this church is the true church of Jesus Christ. Since I've became a member, my testimony has grown and I get signs everyday that I'm a part of the true church. As long as I live a worthy life, follow the commandments, follow the Word of Wisdom, and write in my journal I can feel the spirit and I receive personal revelation because of it. I feel blessed every day because I know that Jesus Christ Loves me and that he died and atoned for my sins so I can return to live with heavenly father. After reading The Book of Mormon all the way through, I see and understand it's power and why it's important to read it everyday. I'm thankful for the knowledge it's given me and I'm thankful for the church.

How I live my faith

I try to read my scriptures every day and pray every day so I can feel the spirit of the lord and then make better decisions because of it's aid. I lead and organize and/or delegate sisters to organize activities for the women in my ward so we have the time to bond as daughters of god and sisters. I also love to volunteer and do service for others.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Family is important to us because we believe that the lord has provided us with families here on earth to prepare us in the afterlife to be with them forever. Families teach us how to act and love and are crucial to how we develop as adults and parents. We learn so much about life because of our families and we will take that knowledge with us after we die and if we choose to we are sealed to our families forever. Show more Show less

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

I think it's important to take care of our bodies because they've been given to us to house our spirit while we are on this earth. Not taking care of them is not showing ourselves respect or showing our heavenly father who has created us and given us our bodies respect either. Show more Show less
