Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm a husband, father of three, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of three children. We love spending time on the River walk and going to other unique sites in San Antonio. I love riding my bike on the trails. I'm back in school to further my education and my wife is working full-time as a social worker. Life is crazy and we have our ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I know God has a plan for all of us. There are a lot of scary things happening in the world right now and I get worried for my children, but then I remember what this life is really for and what is truly important and it helps me get by.

Why I am a Mormon

Jesus Christ is my Savior and I am grateful for his sacrifice for me. He died so I could live again and be forgiven of my sins. I know I have a Father in Heaven that loves me enough to give his Son. I try to live my life in a way that is pleasing to my Father in Heaven and I try to follow the example of his Son, Jesus Christ. I see a lot of selfish behavior in the world right now and that is not what Jesus taught. I am trying to live like the Savior lived and teach my children the same thing. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given me the tools I need to be the best person I can be. I have found that through serving others I come to know my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am grateful for the plan of salvation that will help us return and live with God eternally. This is the most important thing we can learn during our lives because it will enable us to have true happiness and joy in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I have an opportunity right now to serve the members of my congregation. I help organize the meetings and try to get to know everyone attending Church. By finding out more about each person individually, I can help them if they are struggling with problems or help find opportunities for them to serve and help others. I have found that serving others in the community and at Church helps me more than anyone else.  I try to live my faith on a daily basis by being kind to others and treating them the way that I would like to be treated or how I would like my family treated. I don't always succeed, but I keep trying everyday and everyday I realize how much I need the Atonement and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to follow the commandments that are given to us in the holy scriptures and through His living representatives here on earth. By doing this, I know that I can live with my Father in Heaven again.

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Jeremy
Because life is so sacred to our Father in Heaven it is also important for us to consider all life sacred too. I believe we existed in a spiritual form before we were born. Our Heavenly Father wanted us to experience mortality in physical bodies. I feel it is important that our Heavenly Father's spirit children have a chance to come to earth and experience all the wonderful, and sometimes difficult, things here in life. We should protect the power to create life until we are ready to care for these wonderful, precious spirits waiting to come down to earth and experience life as we know it. Show more Show less
