Hi I'm David

This is my dad and big brothers; I'm the fellow without a jacket.

About Me

I’m a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a jazz listener, a good landlord, and of course I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

INTRODUCTION AND RE-INTRODUCTION  A couple chance opportunities have been put into my life, 1st; Being my aunt, My dads sister introducing my parents to the gospel, 2nd and most important, Years later; my fianc'ee developed an interest in the gospel. WHEN I WAS BAPTIZED, I was 11 year old when I joined the church; I didn't have a testimony, but my parents had theirs, at the time that was good enough for me. My mom, dad, brothers, sister and I all took the discussions. My dad decided that we would start 1979 off on the right foot as new members of the LDS church; being baptized on New Years Eve, December 31st of 1978. Thanks to my wonderful family and my ward family I knew the church was true, but I just would not commit to living all the principles of the gospel as I entered my teenage years. GAINING MY TESTIMONY, My testimony began growing when a special young lady came into my life. We dated some before a set of sister missionaries tracked into her, she became very interested in the gospel. Through her interest in the gospel it gave me that little extra push I needed to fully commit myself to living the principles of the church. The following year we got married, about a month later I baptized her into the church, almost 3 years after marriage we were sealed in the Chicago Temple. 21 years later we are still learning and growing in the gospel. Our family consists of 1 awesome son (Jon), 3 beautiful daughters (Alexsis, Malaysia, and Malia), 1 neat son-in-law (Ryan) and a little grandson (Mason).

How I live my faith

Every morning I start my day on my knees, thanking Heavenly Father for all of my many blessing. Every evening my family and I read our scriptures, some days are better than others and we end our day on our knees for family prayer. Accepting callings in the church is one of the many ways I can do the Lords will. One of my favorite callings, was being in the nursery for 3 years. I enjoy working and helping these little children know that they have a loving and caring Heavenly Father. I learned a lot from them also, these little children just recently left Heavenly Fathers presents. Another is being an ordinance worker in the St. Louis MO Temple. This was a great calling, helping people receive their ordinances and making their covenants, is a wonderful thing.
