Hi I'm Shantel

I am a happy wife and mother of 4. My joy comes from family. I'm a daughter of God. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 4 little ones. My days are consumed with the day to day tasks of striving to raise a righteous generation. I have always wanted to be a mother. Between babysitting, high school jobs and my college experiences, I spent a lot of my youth with children. When I am teaching and working with children, I know that I am doing something of value, something that will last. I find the most pure and lasting joy while spending time with my family. I enjoy crafting, (although my skills lack at times), music, dance parties (within the private walls of my home) and laughing with my family. Although I am not a big outdoors woman, I love the way that being outside makes me feel, and I will very rarely pass on the opportunity to take a leisurely walk and enjoy the peace that nature brings. I am not an extravagant person, and truly believe the happiness in life comes not from things, but from the small and simple moments in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Spirit has confirmed to me that this is Christ's church upon the earth. I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ, in it's true and living state brings me happiness. Though the gospel, I have learned and have come to know for myself, that I am daughter of God with great worth and potential. As I pray and communicate with God, he hears and answers my prayers. Life is not always easy, and trials come to each one of us, but the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me peace and guidance through each trial, and helps me come out stronger.

How I live my faith

Aside from striving to teach and lead in faith within my own family, I am grateful that our church gives every member the opportunity to serve and teach. I currently have the opportunity to serve the children in our local congregation. I have developed a love for each of the children and I love being able to teach and guide them each week. I love teaching the basics of doctrine and watching their faces light up as they learn.
