Hi I'm Brent

I'm a Mormon. I live in Eastern Idaho. I am very blessed to live the life I live.

About Me

I love my life. I have a wonderful wife and four great kids. For a living I sell John Deere construction equipment. I have always loved tractors and trucks, the bigger the better in my mind. For fun we ride horses and four wheelers. We are lucky to live in a wonderful neighborhood and within an hour of both sets of grandparents.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but have chosen to remain involved because of my love for The Saviour, Jesus Christ. He taught the true gospel while in his mortal ministry, he ordained his Apostles to carry the gospel forward after his death, resurrection, and ascension into heaven. Eventually all the church leaders were killed and the Priesthood was lost from the Earth. I know through answers to personal prayer and study that the Priesthood and true church have been restored to the earth. God speaks to man today, He is mindful of His children here and wants to help us. There was plan for our salvation and eventual return to His presence laid out before the earth was created. Jesus Christ is central to that plan. If we choose to follow Him we will someday be able to live in His presence.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as Bishop of Rigby 2nd Ward. It has been a great opportunity for me to serve. I get to meet lots of people. It has also strengthened my family. We have become more diligent in our study of Jesus Christ, His life, and His teachings. As we study the Savoir, our love for Him naturally increases. He taught in John 14:15 that if we love Him, we will keep His commandments. When we keep commandments we serve and teach others. I love this church as it is a framework or scaffolding to help us really get to know Jesus Christ and His Father that sent Him.

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Brent
I know that when my relationship with Heaven is what it should be. When I'm working to know God and serve His children, my earthly relationships are better as well. We need Him in every aspect of our lives, it makes us better people and easier to get along with and more concerned with the needs of others, thus making us less concerned with ourselves.
