Hi I'm Brian

I'm a husband, father, and grandfather. I work in the software development industry. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona and have also lived in Colorado, Utah, Oregon, and California. My wife and I have six children the youngest is adopted and nine grandchildren. I enjoy hiking, camping, and water skiing.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon is important to me. It has helped my wife and I teach and nurture our children, has guided us in important decisions, and has given me many opportunities to stretch, grow, and be of service to others. Being a Mormon to me is all about learning about Jesus Christ, His gospel, His plan for my family and me, and living according to that plan. I've been taught and I believe that God's plan leads us to happiness in this life and eternal joy in the next life. Trying to live according to God's plan has certainly brought me peace and happiness. It's wonderful to feel God's love for me and to share God's love by serving others.

How I live my faith

I've had many opportunities to serve others through my participation at church. Right now I'm serving by supervising gospel teachers in my congregation and helping them be the best teachers they can be. It causes me to study and research and practice being an effective teacher. When I think that Jesus Christ is the master teacher and that we're trying to follow his example by teaching His gospel, it is humbling and inspiring at the same time. And I get to work with a great group of people, including adults, youth, and children.
