Hi I'm Nicole

I am a mother of two. I am a middle school science teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the mother of two adorable little boys. One is two and one is three months. They bring me so much joy! They are a constant reminder of the beauty of life! We love to laugh, play, read, take walks, and work together. But most of all we just love to be together! I currently teach Life Science to 7th graders and Physical Science to 8th graders at our local middle school. I love my job! It may be difficult at times but I get to spend every day doing my best to help God's children learn about His creations and how they work. I love seeing their enthusiasm and overall desire to do good. They may not always know how to do good but they want to! I am recently divorced and escaping an emotionally and verbally abusive relationship. It has been the hardest thing I have ever done but through it I have gained a greater understanding of the love of Heavenly Father. I have also witnessed numerous amazing miracles. How grateful I am for His help, love, and understanding!

Why I am a Mormon

Through personal experiences I have learned of the love of our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. I have learned that they truly will help us through our lives and that although difficult, life is a great learning opportunity and through their help, we can find great joy. I learned of the love of my Heavenly Father through experiences where I have felt completely alone or at my wits end and He has answered my prayers and allowed me to know that He loves me. Through the blessing of His Son, our Savior, I have felt the peace that comes from knowing that although I make mistakes, I can be forgiven and that they will always love me. I was raised by good parents who taught me the gospel of Jesus Christ through both words and example. Through them, I learned of the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But it wasn't until I stepped out on my own and sought to know if these teachings were true that I learned for myself that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that God loves us enough to continue sending prophets to guide us home to Him, and that my family really can be together forever. These things and more I learned through numerous questions and prayer and challenging experiences. I know that God will help us find Him.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good person. On my own, I study the scriptures, pray, and make goals to help me become a better person. With my boys, I am trying to build a strong and happy family through living the teachings of the gospel. Currently we are trying to have daily prayer and scripture reading together, to spend quality time together, and are starting to have family home evening as a way to help us draw closer to each other and God. As a teacher, I am trying to be more patient and search out ways to better help my students learn and be a supportive co-worker. With another sister from church, I visit two women in our church. We share a message and check to see if they need anything. I am also trying to find ways to be more involved in my community and in the world.
