Hi I'm Joe

I was born and raised in UT. I have worked in the Dairy industry my entire life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 2 boys and 2 girls. I really enjoy spending time with my kids working and playing. I enjoy various types of exersice. I have run a fair number of races myself for the pleasure of accomplishing the goal. The funnest event I have done is an olympic triathalon. I loved the challenge of the 3 different events in the race. The thing I love the most about the races are watching so many different levels of athletes accomplish the goal of doing the races. I have worked in the Dairy industry my entire life. I like agriculture and enjoy working to provide food for people. I have learned a lot of life's lessons working on a farm. I enjoy the time my wife and I get to spend taking fun little get-a-ways.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have spent a lot of time searching and studying the writings of the prophets of the past. I love truth and know that God has a plan for me. God is real and I want to know what he is saying right now. The prophets of today speak for Him and give advanced notice as to how I can prepare for future events. I seek for peace in my life and feel it most when I am doing service on God's behalf. I feel the most joy when I see others embracing the message of the restoration. I served a mission in the Philippines. It was a very educational experience. I loved seeing people take the truths that they already knew and add further truth to their current knowledge. I know that because of the fulness of the gospel found in this church my family will be with me through the eternities. I know this church carries with it the authority to act for Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Me and my family enjoy spending time with the widows of our community. We take care of the yard of a close friend of ours. I mow her lawn and for family activities we go pick up pine cones and help her with the weeds. She has the most beautiful roses. In the spring her tulips are magnificant. I also enjoyed a project this spring with a group of men from the chruch. We tore off the old shingles and put new ones on. It was so much fun interacting with the guys while we helped out a recent widow. Seeing the happiness on her face was priceless. One thing I really enjoy about this church is the opportunity to serve other families by assignment. We call this hometeaching. Me and another guy visit a now dear friend who has been widowed for quite some time now. On a monthly basis we visit her and teach her about Jesus Christ. A couple of months ago she was quite sick. We had the opportunity to take her to the doctor when her grandson was late getting home from work. She was so grateful to have a ride to and from the doctor. I feel so much happiness when I am needed by these dear sisters.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Joe
Authority to perform a baptism is important because without it anyone could have a church and make up their own ideas about how it should be done. I know that their is only one God and he has order in His kingdom. Without authority to perform baptism there is no order.  Show more Show less

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Joe
We work hard to provide the things our children need to become contributing members of society. We spend time studying, praying, working and playing. It is very important to Jessica and I to teach our children the value of honesty, hard work and education. Show more Show less
