Hi I'm Seth

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I studied to be a chemical engineer but ended up as a nuclear test engineer. I enjoy spending time working on projects around my house and experimenting with my own ideas.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am convinced that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. If you're interested in how I became convinced I would be happy to share that with you. I keep going to church because it helps me better understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, gives me excellent opportunities to serve those around me, and because it helps me learn how to apply gospel principles to this modern life.

How I live my faith

I do my best to live by what I believe. I keep my language clean, I actively seek out those in need and help where I am able, and I do my best to fulfill my duties as a husband, employee and member of my church.

What do Mormons believe about the Holy Ghost? Who is the Holy Ghost?

I'm a pretty analytical guy. When the Holy Ghost is described as a "warm fuzzy feeling", that doesn't quite do it for me. I spend a lot of time thinking. I know what my thinking sounds like. I know how my thought processes go. I know how I solve problems, and how I get ideas. I can tell when an idea didn't come from me. I can tell when the solution I've come up with is beyond my abilities, or when it is different than what I would have come up with. I can tell when the Holy Ghost is helping me figure things out. It doesn't happen that often; I believe that for the most part God wants me to figure things out for myself. When it does though, I try to make sure I give credit where credit is due. The Holy Ghost does more than just give me ideas and help me solve problems. He is also there to comfort me when I need it. When He does that, it feels kind of warm and fuzzy. Show more Show less
