Hi I'm Karen

I'm retired and live in Bountiful, Utah. I am preparing to serve a full time mission in the Portugal Porto Mission. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in Idaho to active LDS parents and grew up in Utah. My sister and I grew up in a single parent home but had a wonderful life with our dedicated, hard-working mother. I married and had four beautiful children, two boys and two girls. I later divorced and after 5 years being single, met and married a wonderful man. Music is a huge part of my life and I recorded two albums that have been release nationally. Summer musical theater is a passion I have and I sing every chance I get. I am grateful to share the Spirit of the Gospel through music.  I am married to an amazing man! As a second marriage for both of us, we have found a level of happiness that, if we are obedient, can extend into the eternities. We work together to keep our relationship one that is enriched and strengthened every day. We love to laugh and enjoy spending time together. We are looking forward to serving on a mission in a few months for the LDS Church to somehow pay back the Lord for all the blessings he has given us.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I had the blessing of being born into a Mormon family, I have made a personal choice to live my life every day based on the principles of the gospel. The gospel guides my actions and brings understanding to me when the challenges come. I am grateful to know where I came from, why I am here and where I am going. I love being a Mormon! The level of happiness in having Jesus Christ at the center of my life can not be compared to anything on this earth. Life can be eternal with our families when we are obedient to the teachings of the Savior. The gift of the gospel of Jesus Christ is the greatest gift I could share with anyone.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed in my life with the opportunity to serve others of all ages in the Church. The children, young women and adult women of the Church have enriched my life as I have served as a leader and a teacher to them. In turn, they have all helped me to learn and grow. I love camping and have treasured experiences as a Young Women camp leader. As I travel the country in my work, I try to live as though the Savior stood beside me. I want to be a good example of the gospel to everyone I meet.
