Hi I'm JJ

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student at Southern Virginia University. I was born and raised in Oregon, but I have relocated to the east coast, and I love it. I enjoy reading, particularly history, and I love movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I prayed about it. I still pray about it. To me, a knowledge in a larger plan is central to happiness. Over time I have come to develop a testimony of the need of a savior, and Mormonism teaches of Christ with a clarity that I cannot reject. I am Mormon simply because I have lived to try and apply it's principles, and those principles bring me happiness.

How I live my faith

One step at a time. Sometimes I have doubts, or uncertainties. But I overcome them by study, and by faith. To me, being Mormon is a defining factor in my life.

What is being a Mormon like?

Begin Mormon is being part of a faith community that cares about you. Every area has its own deficiencies and shortcomings, but the focus of the church is to provide a spiritual haven locally so everyone can thrive in their faith in God and have personal spiritual experiences. Being Mormon is an opportunity to receive personal revelation from God, and an invitation to share those experiences and opportunities with others. Show more Show less
