Hi I'm Jenni

I'm a Mormon. I live on the east coast. Before I had children, I worked as a social worker.

About Me

I grew up in New Jersey and have always lived in the eastern part of the USA. After graduating from college I worked as a Social Worker, helping families in crisis. I took a break from my career to start a family. I am a mother to four children. I volunteer in the school that my children attend. I enjoy classical music, the arts, reading, snow skiing, gourmet cooking/baking and eating.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and raised their family with those beliefs. There came a time as I got older that I had to decide for myself if I believed what my parents taught me. I needed to find out if I wanted to live my life the way I had been raised. As I prayed to know if it was right for me, I always had a sense that what they taught me really was true. They were examples of good Christian living. I knew that if I did the things they taught me, I would get closer to God. I have come to know for myself that this church is the way to live. Life can get really complicated and overwhelming especially when children are involved. The gospel of Jesus Christ can simplify our lives and give us direction in all things. Sometimes I don't have the answers to challenging situations. I know I can always turn to God for help and He really does give me the answers that I need. That is not to say that things in my life are necessarily made easier or better, but I feel like I have the tools to navigate the bumps in the road of life. I feel like there is purpose to my life and things always seem to have a way of working out when you trust in the Lord and follow His teachings.

How I live my faith

In my congregation I am involved with of a group of women who are committed to following Jesus Christ. We try to improve our lives and the lives of our families, congregation and community by serving others. We have been involved in the relief efforts of flood and hurricane victims. We visit the sick, help the poor and needy through clothing drives, preparing and delivering meals and preparing for emergencies. We receive as much education as we can and share our skills and knowledge with others. We organize classes to encourage fitness, spiritual growth, self-reliance, healthy marriages, financial planning, home management, and a variety of helpful topics.
