Hi I'm Jennifer!!

I'm a sister, daughter, musician, athlete and friend. I'm a High School English teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE spending time with friends and family. I LOVE to cook and bake. I LOVE music. I LOVE teaching. I LOVE taking road trips to the beach. I LOVE to travel. I LOVE the color purple. I LOVE chocolate. I LOVE BEING A MORMON!!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Latter-day Saint family and have chosen to stay active in the Church. It wasn't until I was in high school that I truly found out for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. As a teenager, I was challenged to read the entire Book of Mormon and ask in prayer whether the Book of Mormon and Church was true. And I did just that. I earnestly prayed and prayed to know for myself. After each prayer I felt a peace, a love, a comfort and a hope so deeply, so intensely in my heart that I knew this had to be God's true Church. More and more each day I discover the power and comfort the Church has in my life. It's not easy being Mormon in today's society but the blessings and comfort it brings me in such a wicked world is totally worth it. I love Heavenly Father and his Son, Jesus Christ with all my heart. And I love being a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I attend Church each Sunday afternoon with young single adults my age. I participate in ward activities for the young single adults all around the city. I serve as a Visiting Teacher to other young women in my ward. I visit my assigned women a few times a month to see how they are doing and to share a short Gospel message. I try to set a good example to all those I come in contact with each day. "“Love one another as Jesus loves you. Try to show kindness in all that you do. Be gentle and loving in deed and in thought, For these are the things Jesus taught.” - from the Children's Songbook

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jennifer!!
A testimony is sharing how your relationship with Jesus has impacted your life. Telling the story of Christ in your life is part of reaching out to others by telling them about God. Show more Show less
