Hi I'm Darren

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I love to ski and play sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have four children. A daughter, who is now married and just starting graduate school in order to get her Phd in Political Science. A son, who recently returned from serving a mission for our Church and is now going to college and studying business. Another son who is preparing to go on his mission and attending college and our youngest son is a freshman in high school. Our family loves to ski, mountain bike, go for walks and play games together. The best times we have are often when we are on family vacations - either with our immediate family or with our large extended family.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was born and raised a Mormon, I developed my own individual personal testimony of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and of the Book of Mormon in my youth. I served a mission for the Church in Germany and my testimony grew even stronger as I worked with many people who accepted the message of the restored gospel and who repented of their sins and were baptized. I believe that following the counsel of modern day prophets and apostles as they teach the doctrines of Christ will assist each of us as we strive to be sincere disciples of the Savior. Our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness can bless and help us to be happy in this life and to be together forever as families in the eternities.

How I live my faith

In my current church calling I have the opportunity to work with the youth and adults in Sunday School. During Sunday School members of the Church study the gospel of Jesus Christ as found in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and other sacred teachings of the Savior. I really enjoy studying the gospel and sharing the teachings of the Savior with others. I am also a home teacher and have the opportunity to work with several families in our ward. This is a great blessing in my life as I get to know and serve others. I also have many opportunities to provide service to those in my community through my membership in the Church.
