Hi I'm Becca Lyn

I'm daughter, I grew up in Arizona, I am currently on a mission in Mississippi and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Mississippi Jackson Mission. Dance is my major in college and I love to dance! Other things I love are cooking, retail therapy, playing the violin, moose, spending time with my family, Disney and M&ms. I worked at Disney World for a summer and loved every minute of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the all the churchs out there this is the one thats teachings bring me the most peace. I know my purpose and what is expected of me. Life can get really challenging and be down right discouraging, but at the end of the day I know who I am and that there is something greater to work towards( eternal life with my family!). All that is wrong in my life is made right through living the gospel of Jesus Christ. All the adversity I face in life has helped me to grow stronger and strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ. Simply, I am a Mormon because I know this is the true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending the temple as often as I can. The Temple is the house of the Lord, a place where we can go for peace and direction. I also try hard to have personal study time. Life is very daily and sometimes catches up with me, making it hard to find time to study. At the end of the day family is the most important thing and finding time to spend with them is what really matters. I also have been blessed with the opportunity to serve a mission in the Mississippi Jackson Mission.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Becca Lyn
We do! Families can be together forever. Husbands and Wives can be sealed together forever in the Temple. We must live worthy and keep the commandments so we can be worthy to receive these ordinances. The Lord wants you to be happy and our families to be forever and eternal. An Ordinance is a two way promise between God and us where God sets the conditions. We are promised in the scriptures that whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven. This is why it is so important to not just only be married for this life, but the one hereafter as well. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Becca Lyn
No way! We worship God and Jesus Christ. Just the same as we revere Prophets such as Abraham, Moses and Noah, the prophet Joseph Smith holds a special place in our hearts. The reason he is so special to members of the church is because he is the one who restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth by the power of God. Show more Show less
