Hi I'm Layne.

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a rural community in the Northwest and have always enjoyed working with my hands. This has led me to a career as an engineer with an automotive manufacturer. I also enjoy woodworking, gardening, farming, and playing sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the standards and beliefs that are taught within the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. These standards and beliefs have shaped my life and the life of my family. This church has so many resources to help people understand that they are truly a spirit child of a Father in Heaven. He has a plan for each of us to return to be with Him. I am grateful to know of this plan and what my role is in it. I am also grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ, His atonement, and His role in our Father in Heaven's plan.

How I live my faith

I have a wonderful wife and four children. I am happy to say that my life is my family. We love to spend time together whether eating dinner, gardening, or going to baseball games. We look forward to our Church meetings on Sundays as well as other Church activities throughout the week. My wife and I work with the youth at our Church. It is fun to watch them mature through their teenage years and become adults.

What is the priesthood?

The priesthood is the power and authority to act in the name of God. The priesthood was held by all the prophets, apostles, and righteous men in the Bible. That same priesthood has been restored to the earth today and is used to perform the necessary ordinances for salvation.  Show more Show less
