Hi I'm Lucy Bangerter

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a mother and grandmother. I am a residential realtor in the Dallas area. I was born in Peru while my father worked in the copper mines there and lived my childhood in Monterrey and Mexico City, Mexico. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love to garden and decorate. I am always ready to travel and meet new people. I love knowing that all of Gods children are much the same everywhere you go. I know that we literally are all brothers and sisters. I love getting to know them. I try every day to feel his love and share it with those I am with that day. Especially my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in an LDS family but I had to come to know for myself that this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ on this earth. I came to know that by reading the book of mormon and praying to know if it was true. I know it is true because I have tried living its teaching and felt the Holy Ghost testify to my heart that the teachings are true. I watched the strength that it gave my parents through many trials in life and have felt that strength in my own. I have tried not living the gospel too and learned the heartache and then experience the joy of repentance. The Hope and Faith that I feel every day comes from knowing that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and each of us and that because of the atonement of Jesus Christ if I live the gospel, I can return to live with him. My greatest hope in life is to return to live with Him along with my family and as many of my earthly brothers and sisters as I can. I try to share this hope in the way I live my life.

How I live my faith

The most important way I live my faith is in the way that I treat my family members. I used to think that I needed to be an example of always doing things right but now I try my best to follow the Holy Ghost and do what is right but as I regularly fail, I try to be humble and willing to repent. Our family is a work in progress. The next most important way I try to live my religion is to do what our stake president has taught us, to read from the scriptures and living prophets every day, pray and seek to know whom Heavenly Father would have me serve with love that day. This daily experience has helped me to better learn how to recieve personal revelation and guidance throughout my day. I have been given opportunities to serve in small and large ways knowing that He knows how best to use my precious time. I know that Heavenly Father has a work for each of his children to do throughout their lives. My greatest daily desire is to know and do what Heavenly Father needs me to do that day. My current church calling is to serve with the sisters of the Relief Society. I am so grateful to know how much the Lord, Jesus Christ loves and honors women and their role in the plan of happiness. I am so grateful for the Relief Society organization that helps me to know th
