Hi I'm Bree

I grew up in mormon valley Utah, and have lived in the south the last 5 years. I love my life, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom to two darling little girls. I am so greatful I have been able to stay at home with my girls. My husband is an amazing dad and provider and is such a blessing to us lucky girls. We have been married for 5 years, my husband graduated from BYU and then went on to law school, he graduated last year and was able to find a great job. I was a hair dresser before becoming a mom and loved what I did. I love water skiing, scrapbooking, volleyball, soccer, camping, beach days, and decorating.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and as some of my siblings are not active. I always knew it was true. I have seen what life is like without the gospel in my life and in others and can tell you there is no possible way I could be any happier than when I am living up to it and its standars. I am so thankful for the knowelegde and blessings the gospel has brought into my life. I am most thankful that by following His plan I can be with my family forever, it is so comforting to know that this life is not the end.

How I live my faith

I teach class every Sunday for the ladies in our ward, I have had many callings through out my life and love being able to serve. I love teaching, I feel like I am the one who gets to learn the most when I prepare for my lessons and hope to send on a meaningful message. I am a firm believer in visiting teching. For many people moving is really hard, finding new friends, asking for help when you need it. Visiting teaching is a way for sisters to grow together, learn about each other, and to help each other in times of need. I am so thankful for the blessings I have seen through visiting teaching. I also live my faith through obedient living, dressing modestly, attending the temple, scripture study, keeping the sabbath day holy, and prayer.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Bree
I would say Mormons live a simple life, it is the simple life that truly makes us happy. The family is a very important part of the Mormon church. We believe in eternal life and having an eternal family, meaning families can be together forever. The way we live is to bless ourselves as well as others by doing things like family home evening, serving, scripture study, family prayer, dinner together, ultimately growing closer to Heavenly Father while growing and learning to love each other and working on Christ-like attributes. We live a normal life, I take care of my kids, while my husband practices law. We do normal things like your everyday family while adding in a lot of emphasis on our family and realatioship with Heavenly Father. We attend church every Sunday and have other church callings we do through out the week, we have a lot of fun with the members of our church as well. We have holiday parties, play groups, and play sports together. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Bree
It is great, I love it. No matter what, life is going to be hard and you are going to go through hard things, but with the gospel I know I can get through anything. My relationship with my Heavenly Father has been such a blessing through life's trials. It is also important to thank him for the good things and the many many blessing I have received as well. I think I am more thankful for the little things in life because of my relationship with him. I see trials people go through because of choices that are made and a lot of the extra hardships in life we don't have to go through because we don't have to deal with a lot of consequences. Heavenly Father wanted us be happy and to respect ourselves and our bodies and by keeping the commandments life is as easy as it could possibly be. Show more Show less
