Hi I'm Troy

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married, a father of three kids and I love spending time with my family. With two of my kids in college, my favorite time is when they come home and we have a good time just laughing. Professionally, I'm a landscape architect. I love to travel and hope to one day see the world, but for now I mostly just dream of doing that.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a fifth-generation Mormon, but I had to decide for myself that it was right for me. As I've gone through life and experienced my share of challenges, I've found peace in understanding God's plan for me and knowing there is greater purpose to this life. I feel that my prayers have been heard and I find comfort in knowing there is a living prophet to give guidance to us to meet today's challenges. I've also felt the power of The Book of Mormon in bringing me closer to Jesus Christ and I believe that The Book of Mormon is true.

How I live my faith

In my congregation, I play the organ. I find great joy in the message of music--especially hymns--and I love sharing my talents that way. Sometimes on Saturday, when I practice the organ in preparation for Sunday meetings, I turn the volume way up and just let the music fill me as I think about the message of the songs. I'm also a teacher in my congregation and I enjoy learning new aspects of the Gospel as I prepare my lessons.
