Hi I'm Rebecca Ann Walker

I've lived in 7 states. I moved to virginia in 2000. I joined june 2006 when spanish sisters found me instead.

About Me

I'm learning disabled and struggle with depression/anxieties. I havent had a job since 2004. I reflect on my past a lot and think very negatively of myself. school is filled with many bad memories and has always been hard for me. I barely passed high school and have had bad luck with trying college. I mostly live at home because trying to live on my own doesnt ever fully work out forever. becasue of my anxieties and confusion my driving is very limited.

Why I am a Mormon

I have never had a real friend before until I found the church and everyone accepted me instead of treating me badly and eventually kicking me out or making me choose on my own to leave. i struggle a lot with commitment becasue i believe im everyones curse. but this church has become where my real friends are and is considered my home.

How I live my faith

a lot of what the church enforces as beliefs or standards is nothing new to the way i was raised. they just maybe enforce it a little more or add new stuff to it. ive been in a baptist church all my life. I dont drink or smoke or do drugs and in my family if you miss church its a sin. I never have liked coffee or tea either and definately dont belive in sexc before marriage. I know a lot of the bible and trying to read the book of mormon was hard because it was new and sounded too much like king james. I used a different bible translation, but once i started reading the king james bible as the church prefers to use i got used to the way the book of mormon was worded too. then the d/c and all other books to the standard works was like reading a story book in english or reading more scriptures. prayer was probhablly the hardest to learn. im lazy and in my family we didnt practice that as much. not in public and not as a family. it was meant to be in private, but it was never taight how. it was meant to just be personal so you could say whatever and however you wanted to. but in this church they dont pray any differently and no one thinks your weird if you do or dont. it just takes practice to make it a part of your every day life and in this church i am free to take all the time i want to finally learn that habbit.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Rebecca Ann Walker
THE CHURCH HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE BEGINING. IT IS CHRISTS CHURCH SO HE STARTED IT. IT WAS LOST ON EARTH FOR A WHILE WHEN THE DISCIPLES ALL DIED OFF FROM THE BIBLE DAYS AND THERE WASNT ANYONE TO LEAD THEM TO LIVE CHRISTIAN LIVES. SO THE WORLD GOT THEIR OWN IDEAS OF CHRISTIANITY AND STARTED THEIR OWN CHURCHES LOOSELY BASED ON THE ORIGINAL CHURCH THAT WAS CHRISTS CHURCH. THIS PERIOD WAS CALLED APOSTACY. YEARS LATER CHRIST CALLED A PROPHET JOSEPH SMITH TO BRING BACK THE CHURCH AND MAKE THE WORLD REMEMBER THE TRUTH. SURPRISINGLY AFTER HE DIED, THE CHURCH STILL SURVIVED IN EXISTANCE TILL EVEN TODAY. THATS SORT OF WHY THE CHURCHS FULL NAME NOW INCLUDES OF LATTER DAY SAINTS BECASUE WE WHO ARE MEMBERS CAME LATER WHEN THE CHURCH WAS REINTRODUCED TO THE WORLD. Show more Show less
