Hi I'm Allison

I grew up in Southern California, am currently working to master the game of golf, and love the color green.

About Me

I am a working professional currently living in Southern California. I cannot get enough of the beach, especially riding my bike on the boardwalk with friends. When I am not working I love traveling to see new places and experience new things. My dream is to visit New Zealand! Another one of my passions is sports. Attending college football games in the fall, going crazy during March Madness, and supporting the Yankees in the summer. I enjoy spending as much quality time as I can with my family and friends, and finding ways to uplift others. Above all else, I love to smile!

Why I am a Mormon

I am blessed to have two loving and caring parents who took me to church regularly and taught me the basic principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ from an early age. This basic foundation of faith and experiences I have had in my life thus far, have given me a greater understanding and knowledge of who I am and my reason for being here on earth. I know I have a loving father in heaven who knows me personally and has an eternal purpose and plan for me. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer, who came to this earth, lived a perfect life as an example for all to follow, and died for all mankind. Through His Atonement, I can be forgiven of my sins, find true happiness in this life, and have the opportunity to live with my Heavenly Father again if I live righteously. Keeping the commandments and living the basic principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, like faith, hope, charity, and courage, have provided a strong foundation for me to have peace and happiness in the world we live in today. Why am I a Mormon? Because the doctrine of the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me purpose, understanding, and makes me happy as I actively try to live them.

How I live my faith

Though not easy, I strive every day to maintain an eternal perspective and be a better person than I was the day before. I try to learn from every experience I have and make the most of opportunities I am given in my life. I love being of service and doing good for others. On Sundays I attend 3 hours worth of weekly church meetings with other single adults in my area, ranging in age from 18 - 30 years old. I help coordinate assistance for women in our congregation who are in need or just might need a friend. I am also assigned three women to visit each month, to share a spiritual message, to befriend, and help if needed. During the week I normally attend activity nights each Monday and occasionally scripture study classes on Wednesday nights, which are both sponsored by the Church.
