Hi I'm Jorge Hernández

I'm from Mexico City. I am a spoiled son of God. I served in the Arizona Tucson Mission. I am a medicine student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Mexico City, Mexico. Even though I come from one of the biggest cities in the world I know that God knows me and loves me personally. I don't need lots of attention or big emotions, I like to be simple. I think balance in life brings you happiness and fun. Dancing is my passion. I think Mexicans are some of the most happy people in the world, I love it!. I served in the Arizona Tucson Mission. To share a smile to others is my way to say "I love you, you are my brother".

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when they were teenagers. Growing up being a Mormon in an enviorment where most of the people are not gave me the chance to show others the blessings they can receive themselves by being members of this Church. When I see the blessings that being a member of the Chuch has brought to my life strengthens my testimony that it is true. Knowing the Savior and His teachings has brought my family closer and closer and I know that we can be together for all eternity.

How I live my faith

Having friends with different values gave me the chance to be an example to them. Attending Church with my family helped me to see the importance of respect and love for others. Even when the world is hard I know that through prayer my Heavenly Father can help me overcome everything. Being a Mormon in Mexico is a great opportunity to show the world that this Church fits all the children of God. As a missionary I learned the great importance of sharing the gospel with others. I live my faith by telling everyone I can about our Savior, Jesus Christ; about the Church He has restored in this days and the hope and chance God gives us to have eternal life with Him. Going to Church meetings of every kind and serve make me feel I do something for the work of the Lord. Going out to teach with the missionaries is amazing to me!

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Jorge Hernández
It is true! This is one of the things that I like to talk about a lot with people. Being from Mexico and knowing that the Savior appeared to my ancestors tells me of the infinite love that He has for each one of those who have faith in Him. He paid for the sins of all the world so He came and showed himself to the people in the ancient America. It doesn't matter where we live, how we look or the things we have done in the past He knows us and He will show us the power He has to heal us. Show more Show less
