Hi I'm Brenda

I live in British Columbia, Canada. I'm an artist, homemaker, mother and grandmother. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am a retired License Practical Nurse. I have 4 wonderful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I live in a picturesque small city in the interior of BC. I love going for walks with my husband and our little black and white Pomeranian. I enjoy my flower garden in the summer and landscape and floral painting in watercolor, acrylic and oils.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the Gospel doctrine teaches about how Heavenly father loved us before we were born, loves us so much that he would sacrifice his only begotten son for the forgiveness of our sins in this life on earth and hope for eternal life after this life if we follow his commandments. Before becoming a member I did not know of God, Jesus Christ or the Holy Ghost. I learned that they are three separate beings. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ having flesh and bone like us and a spirit called the Holy Ghost who is given to us as a gift when we are Baptized by authorized priesthood holders in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a testimony of Joseph Smith being the first prophet of the restored Gospel of JESUS CHRIST I'm grateful for the translation of the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ how it goes hand in hand with the bibles teachings of the coming of the Savior, his life and resurrection, but most importantly how he visited the people described in the Book of Mormon. It gives us hope of what it's going to be like when the Savior comes again. HAPPINESS LOVE ACCEPTANCE. That's what the Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches me.

How I live my faith

I,along with all members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints participate in our church by holding a calling.I am in the Primary program, a counselor to the Primary President. We teach the children from the age of 18 months to 11 years. I love my calling in primary. The children are so eager to learn. I am also a visiting teacher with another lady. We visit the women in our church once a month and offer assistance when needed.
