Hi I'm Kari

I love being creative and making people happy. I'm kind of crazy, and I love to laugh. I'm a missionary...I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born in the small town of Burley, ID, and grew up loving the outdoors. Hiking, boating, tubing, skiing...I just love being in nature, surrounded by all the beautiful creations God has blessed us with. After high school, I went to college to study print journalism, with a minor emphasis in music and visual arts. I love to design and create! Right now I am serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here in the St. Louis area. There is nothing I love more than being able to share the truths that have changed my life! I love my family they mean the world to me!, my friends extended family, making new friends, and just being happy. If you can't find something to smile about, you simply aren't looking hard enough!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is God's church established on the earth today, with the same authority and organization that existed in the time of Jesus Christ. It is His church, and He stands at the head of it. Anyone who truly seeks to know that for themselves can recieve the same witness. That's the incredible thing about this gospel. I was not convinced by anyone to believe, but converted, by the spirit, because I simply asked God. I recieved a witness in many ways, but especially as I saw the principles I was taught in action in my life. When I was only five, my dad passed away due to tumors. With a single mom and three young children, that event could have torn my family apart. But instead it brought us closer. We believe that those married in holy temples by proper priesthood authority are sealed together, not just for this life, but for all eternity, as were my parents. Seeing my mom's eternal perspective during this trial gave me confidence that my family WILL be united again. Through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, I have found peace in trials, answers to prayers, and the confidence that God is watching over me individually. What an incredible feeling that is.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in everything I do. I am far from perfect, but I strive to do those things that would please my Heavenly Father. Right now, I am living my faith by serving a mission for His church in St. Louis, MO, for 18 months. I spend all day, every day, forgetting myself and serving others. There is nothing more incredible! From service projects, to teaching about Jesus Christ, or singing about Him on people's doorsteps, I do it all, and love it. I love the people, which I think is one of the most important parts of living my faith. As a representative of Jesus Christ, I try to do the things that He would do if He were here. This life is a journey, and He is the perfect guide.
