Hi I'm Isaac

and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read books, play video games, hang out with friends, and just have a good time in general. I love spending time with my family, and talking with them about anything and everything. I also like to go swimming during the hot Arizona summer.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. One reason is because of the spiritual experiences I've had with praying. I have been touched many times by the Spirit when I have prayed, and I've thought about whether that was just me making myself feel that way or if it could be from God. The more I've gone through this process, the more I have realized that there is no way I could make myself feel that way. Using this process, I have prayed about different aspects of the Church such as the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith and have felt this feeling confirming the truthfulness of these points. Another reason I am a Mormon is because it just all makes sense. I have gained a testimony of the scripture found in John, where it reads, "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself." I have found that as I have done his will concerning different commandments that I have found they are commandments from our loving Heavenly Father who wants nothing more than to bless us and for us to gain true and lasting happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church regularly each Sunday. I also strive to pattern my life after Jesus Christ by serving others and improving myself each day. I currently serve as a counselor, aka an assistant, to a group called the Elders quorum, or a group of generally younger male adults, in my word, or area of worship. I help with a lot of administrative duties that allows the group to function.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Mormons believe that the purpose of this life is "the time for men to prepare to meet God." One important way that this is done is through building our faith in Jesus Christ, repenting of our sins, being baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and continuing to follow His commandments for the rest of our lives. Another purpose of this life is to find happiness in living the Gospel.   Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is a record of the people in ancient America from the years 600 B.C. to about 400 A.D. It is a record of God's dealings to His children, their dealings with each other, and a testimony that God loves all of His children.  Show more Show less
