Hi I'm Krista

I'm a singer. I love to dance and sew. I teach voice and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm me. I've moved 5 times in my life, from big cities like Denver to small ones you've never heard of like Grace, ID. I grew up in that small town. I spent most of my time outside playing on our 9 acre property with my siblings. I love animals. I've raised cats to give to farmers in area as mice catchers. I love dogs, cats, rats (yes, they're awesome pets), and guinea pigs. I often curl up with a good book and let myself be taken away with the story. I love my family. My siblings are my best friends and my parents are wonderful friends and advisers. I now live in a small city with my mom and younger siblings. I spend time with friends, at school, with family, and on my own (when I can). I'm most known for my singing. I've been singing all my life, following in my mother's footsteps. It's one of my major connections to life and the way I bear my testimony and I hope to be able to sing for the rest of my life. I also like to sew, ballroom dance, perform on stage, read good books, and spend time with family and friends. I'm now a college student studying Music Performance to become a professional vocalist and voice teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family. My parents raised me well and taught me principles of living a good life through the teachings of the gospel. I'm a member of this church because I know it to be true. I have had a personal witness from my Heavenly Father through the Holy Ghost that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and suffered for my sins. I feel the strength of the gospel of Jesus Christ everyday and I see it's power in changing the lives of others. My life has been so blessed by this gospel through a loving family, wonderful friends, and great leaders who care for me. I am a Mormon because I seek truth and find it in the principles of the gospel. Each time I study on a principle of the gospel and pray to know it's true, I receive an answer which renews my testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. My Savior suffered for my sins individually and wholly . The Book of Mormon is a testament of Jesus Christ revealed to man through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I am a Mormon because I have found these and many more principles of the gospel to be true through personal study and revelation.

How I live my faith

I'm involved in the college student program at the LDS Institute of Religion. I get to work with students at the Institute to help bring people to Christ, especially those attending the same college or colleges in my area. I'm involved in my ward as the music coordinator. I enjoy it a lot and I get to run the music for our ward through choosing hymns and musical numbers for the main church meeting, called sacrament meeting. I'm also a visiting teacher so I get to become close friends with those girls in my ward who are in my group to teach. I love to share the gospel, it's a wonderful thing!  Outside of church callings I live my faith by recognizing the miracles around me every day. Heavenly Father has blessed us with so much and I feel so lucky to be loved by such a wonderful being. I strive to be obedient to the commandments given by the Lord to help guide me in my path. I study the words of ancient and modern day prophets, read my patriarchal blessing, pray, and ponder to gain personal revelation and guidance from my loving Heavenly Father. I bear my testimony through song. I sing often and I know it is a gift from Heavenly Father to be able to share his love through song.
